Dexter
Mejia is the founder of Long Yang Club-Manila.
Dexter is the first and only Asian officer of LYCI who
resides in Asia. He has
been involved in gay politics since he was 18 years
old and has participated in various LGBT organizations
and activities in Manila. Dexter is also an aspiring
writer and can talk endlessly about films and DVDs.

PETER HOLMES
VICE-PRESIDENT, LYCI

For a number of years,
Peter has worked at the senior management level
in the Australian public service. In addition, he
has worked in policy development and implementation
areas as diverse as EEO, Workplace
Change, health, education, and income support. In
his spare time, Peter
has been involved with the development of equality for
gays and lesbians
at a local level. He was a delegate at the Sydney
meeting that led to
the establishment of the Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby.

DOUGLAS MCCREADY
SECRETARY, LYCI
Base: Toronto,
Canada

Douglas (DJ) McCready is President of
LYC Toronto (2007 to 2009). He has been a member
there and on the Committee since 2003. He lives with
his partner (Arnold) , a filipino (who immigrated to
Canada under spousal sponsorship). They met through
LYC International when he advertised for a guide to
show him the Philippines. D.J. is an economics
professor at Wilfrid Laurier University since 1969
and will be retiring Jan. 1, 2009. He has lived in
London England (when he attended LSE) and St. Louis
MO (when on sabbatical). He has visited China
(multiple times), Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and
lived for almost 5 months in the Philippines (both
in Pasay and Puerto Princesa).

GEORGE STORROW
(ACTING) TREASURER, LYCI

English Caucasian. Worked in the Far East in
1990 and travels to the Far East frequently.
Member of LYC London since 1986. Former
committee member of LYC London. Attended all
iCON events so far and several IFW events .
At the LYCI AGM in Bangkok, George had not put
his name for re-election but as there was no
other candidate to fill the post, he has agreed
to be the "Sleeping" Treasurer until we find a
replacement . As such , he does not attend the
online committee meetings.

DOUGLAS SHIEH
EXECUTIVE

Douglas was born in Taiwan
and moved to Los Angeles with his family when he was
ten. He studied at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA, andnow lives with his
partner, Tom, in San Diego. Though not
one prone to activism, he has nonetheless
participated in the AIDS Ride, cycling 275 miles from
Boston to New York City to help bring about awareness
and knowledge of HIV/AIDS to the general public. He has
also walked in the AIDS Walk, both in Los Angeles and
San Francisco.

ANDREW MACDONALD
EXECUTIVE OFFICER, LYCI
Base: Melbourne, AUSTRALIA

Andy was involved
with the “Peak Youth Group - YACVic” where he
helped with Policy Development, Lobbying, and
Implementation. Also extensive experience in
Community Radio News & Current Affairs. Early
working life was as a Youth Worker & Disability
Support Worker. Later Andy changed into the
Hospitality Industry, where his
specialities have been in Events,
Hospitality Management,
Security Management, and Crowd Control
(Bouncer). In his spare time he loves to travel
and has travelled most of Australia, and gone on
to travel in China, Hong Kong, Manila, Malaysia,
and Singapore. His new Hobby is cooking, and
knows a little about Wine from all regions of
the globe.
