The Bangkok branch of LYCT began in January 1996 at a roof-top bar which remained the club's home for almost nine years. Since then, we have had a number of meeting places and currently get together on Silom near Sala Daeng Sky Train Station.

LYCT BKK is a contact point for visitors from other chapters as well as a gathering place for members along with their friends and guests. It is not difficult to find and meet people in Bangkok. We are a starting point for newcomers and a source of information regarding jobs, visas and accommodation - short or long term.

The club also acts as a support group for residents who are working in Thailand or who have retired to Bangkok and the coast. Most members speak English and Thai, but language has never been an obstacle to membership.
