The normal banking hours are Monday to Friday 09:30 to 15:30. It is
best to bring travelers cheques. It is safer and the exchange rate
is slightly better. Your passport will be required to cash in travelers
cheques at all times. Traveler's cheques cannot be used to pay a bill
at the hotel or in a restaurant. Avoid bringing cash. |

ATM MACHINES:
ATM distributors are on almost every
street corner in Bangkok and in all of touristy places outside the
capital. Getting access to cash from your bank account is not a
problem if your bank is linked to one of the following systems such
as, PLUS, CIRRUS, ATM POOL and the like. It is a safer way to get
access to cash.
In Thailand, as in every country
in the world, keep the PIN/NIP to yourself. We advise, if
possible to have an ATM card independent from the normal credit
card. If one is lost, the other one can fill the void.
