Meetings

15 Apr 2003: Future organizational meetings will be held in conjunction with social events. Since the Club is not incorporated, operation will temporarily be by volunteers. Following election of officers and approval of bylaws, tentatively in early 2004, formal business meetings will be held periodically. Previous meeting information follows.

07 Feb 2003: The fourth business meeting will be held on Saturday, February 15, 4:30-6:30 PM, at the Jockey Wok 'N' Roll Restaurant in Hoffman Estates. The address, directions, and maps are provided below.

Agenda

The purpose of the meeting is to continue organizing the Chicago chapter. We will:

	Get acquainted
	Nominate someone to take minutes (which will be published here)
	Establish the mission statement of the organization -- what is our purpose?
	Using the bylaws of a successful LYC chapter as a template, establish bylaws for LYC-Chicago
	Determine whether there should be any dues, and how much (for bylaws)
	Select interim officers based on their qualifications and ability to commit time on an ongoing basis (President, VP, Secretary/Treasurer, Publicity committee, Events committee)
	Determine what type of content we would like on the Internet and what advertising we will do to help launch the group
	Select the locations and dates for next several business meeting
	Select the locations and dates for next several social events
	Adjourn at 6:30

Location

The Jockey Wok 'N' Roll Restaurant is located at 1017 N. Roselle Road, Hoffman Estates, IL 60195 in "Hoffman Plaza". There is plenty of free parking. Their telephone number is +1 (847) 885-0888.

From the northwest side: Take the Kennedy/Northwest Tollway (I-90) west to Route 53 South. Proceed south on 53 to the Route 72/Higgins Road exit. You are now at the southeast corner of The Streets of Woodfield mall. Turn right (west).

Then, from the intersection of Route 53 and Route 72, go west two miles. You will see a Burger King on the right side just before the intersection with Roselle Road. Enter the frontage road (turn right at the light before the BK) and drive behind the BK. Jockey is in the strip mall just behind the BK.

From the west and south side: Take the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) west to Route 72/Higgins Road. Turn left (west) and go 2 miles west on Higgins as above.

From the west and south suburbs: Take the North-South Tollway (I-355) north to where it merges into I-290, then continue as above.
