LAVENDER ISLANDS PROJECT
One of our members, Mark Hendrickson, has told us about
a major research study about the gay, lesbian, transgender,
queer community in NZ which he is associated with.
You can find it on
http://lavenderislands.massey.ac.nz.
We can't expect "straight" people to accept
us if they don't understand us. This is our opportunity
to say what we think and talk about things that are important
to us. Either click on this address: http://lavenderislands.massey.ac.nz
- or paste it into your browser.
If you want to talk to Mark about this,
you can contact him at:

RESIGNATIONS
We are sad to announce two resignations.
Le Nguyen, President of Long Yang
Club International, has worked long and hard to
help make Long Yang Club International an effective
organization. The current Vice-President Chris Hamlin,
one of the founders of LYC Auckland, will take his place
as Acting President.
Ian Squire has served on the Auckland committee
over the last year. Ian has worked very hard in a number
of ways, taking on a wide range of tasks as required.
Ian has not enjoyed good health, and feels unable to
continue his work on the committee. He has however very
kindly agreed to continue his role as Support Co-ordinator.

SIGHTSEEING AND A SWIM
Remember our visit to Miranda Hot Springs on Sunday (and
possibly to Hunua Falls and Cossey’s Dam).
HAVE YOU CONTACTED NIGEL SO HE CAN ARRANGE
TRANSPORT?
Drivers and passengers - please phone him (ph. 2797177),
so he can arrange who takes whom.
OR you can email Nigel at nkp@paradise.net.nz.
Remember to tell him where you live, and whether you
are a driver or a passenger.
Do it now, so he has time to get back to you - or give
him your phone number, so he can phone you with the
details.
