EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF LONG YANG CLUB INTERNATIONAL

LE NGUYEN

PRESIDENT, LYCI

Base City: Minneapolis, MN, USA

Hello, my name is Le Nguyen.

Being a member of Long Yang Club of Minnesota, I have been actively involving in multiple projects from reorganizing the club to advocate the club's popularity in our local communities. As you know, being a Midwest (USA) state, Minnesota has been know to be liberal to gay issues, but racial diversity is still lagged behind. Thus, the Long Yang Club of Minnesota has been one of a very few organizations that bring the voice of Gay Asian Men, a minority within a minority, to the GLBT communities here.

As of my role in the Long Yang Club International, this is my first term in office (2002-2003). As I mentioned at the General Meeting at ICON2002 in Montreal, I would try my best for the job since I had not had any exposure to LYCI prior to being elected. Throughout the year, I have managed to work with the Executive Committee, a group of dedicated members. I have gained a lot of experience. I truly believe that this position is an excellent chance for anyone who believe in LYC and believe in yourself. Should I encourage you to come to ICON2003 and join this excellent team, the leaders of LYCI, the Executive Committee. The Long Yang Club International always welcome new and dedicated members.

I wish you a wonderful time with LYC and hope to see you at ICON2003 in Paris!
