SEPTEMBER 2003 |
Our last function was very well attended as usual with just over thirty of our members going
to John P's place at Evatt for a Pot Luck dinner followed by another set of "parlour" games
organised and presented by President Jeremy. The "secret body parts" photo competition was a
huge success with members trying to identify each other from just a small portion of exposed
body in digital photographs taken on the night by Simon.
As usual, many thanks to John for being such a gracious host for the evening and allowing
LYCC to "christen" his new kitchen in style.
Your Editor has not had any reports from the recent weekend escape by some of our members to Tumut on the other side of the Snowy Mountains. From limited knowledge about the planning - it must have been a great weekend of playing pioneer and explorer in the rough mountain country to our west - so butch and macho! I'm sure one of the escapees will be happy to tell us all the juicy gossip and details at our next function.

Glenn P has very kindly offered to host the next LYCC function for this month at his home
in Nichols. Glenn has arranged some mysterious entertainment for the evening - so
make sure you come along to find out what's happening. As part of the entertainment, all
members are requested to bring along a photocopy of a photo of themselves - either early
childhood, last time you were in drag or some other humorous or embarrassing situation.
If you don't have the photo as a photocopy - just bring along the pic and Glenn will
photocopy it on the night - mysterious and interesting!! Plus there is more entertainment,
but you will find out on the night.
For details, directions and further information, please phone Glenn on 6242 5938
Planning is in progress for our annual LYCC Car Rally for later this year. Time to practice
your driving and navigation skills again for this popular annual event.
Also, LYC Sydney are planning another visit to Canberra to coincide with the annual Bush Dance
at the Yarralumla Woolshed in November. As with previous visits, many of our Sydney brothers
and sisters may need accommodation for that weekend - you are asked to think about how many
LYC Sydney members you may be able to billet for that weekend. Also, time to dust off
your best dancing shoes and practice those "Barn Dance" skills.
